I was recently invited to speak to a group of children about art, and about
my work in particular. The children are associated with a group called NOVATAG (Northern Virginia Talented and Gifted); a
support group for parents who home school their kids. It began when a member of the group and her own children happened upon
my paintings while they hung at the Reston Community Center in Reston Virginia.
I was thrilled and flattered by the invitation,
and accepted the request immediately. After much discussion and planning, we settled on the Washington Technology Park as the
venue. It’s a beautiful location, and ideal for such an event on many levels. I'm looking forward, with great anticipation,
for the privilege to share my love of art with this group of young people. Hopefully, pictures will follow.
